I knew that it had been a while since I last posted. I didn’t realize how long till I just signed in and saw it was back in September! Wow. Things have been busy around here. My parents were here for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving. They left today, and I am feeling quite sad at the moment. I put on Christmas music as it normally cheers me up, but I feel more down. What gives?
I enjoy my parent’s company very much. They know when to offer advice and when to stand back and just let things flow a course. This visit was especially special, as I got to spend a lot of time with my dad. We were in desperate need of renovating our master bathroom.
That is what 40 years does to a shower…at least think it is the original shower. The wall buckled at the bottom because of water damage. I put a temporary patch on it using plexi glass. It was a pretty good patch job for what I needed it to do. After many bids of renovating and seeing we could not afford any, it was up to us to figure out a solution. In came my parents with an option to work on it over Thanksgiving if we could save the money.
So, I got to help my dad tear down and put back together the bathroom. Let’s say a 6×9 room is quite tight for 2 people to work in!
It was great seeing things get taken out of the bathroom, and I enjoyed seeing the progress being made. I don’t have a picture of the finished bathroom yet, as I have few decorating details to add to it. But here is the new shower right after it was grouted.
